WORTH TRAINING is offering an introductory class into the world of HVAC service work!

Listed below are the modules that WORTH TRAINING includes in its several courses.  Each of the courses will contain one or more of the modules and each of the courses will take you deeper into those modules as you progress through the WORTH TRAINING PLAN. The plan is for you to complete the WORTH TRAINING courses from level 1 to level 5

The Residential Heating Courses will teach all aspects of residential heating and ventilation, service and maintenance which will prepare you for anything you come across in those applications.  These courses are designed with the everyday experiences of a Service Technician in mind.  Once successfully completed, you will have the confidence to troubleshoot and repair any piece of heating or ventilation equipment you find in a house and or in light commercial applications.

Electrical Module. (Learning how it works, about the panel, electrical safety, electrical terms and laws, and why it matters to know this stuff)

Motors Module. (How the following motors work, and how to troubleshoot them.  Shaded pole, Split Phase, PSC, CSCR, ECM 2.0 series, the 3.0 series, and the X-13 series)

Meters and Tools Module.  (What meters and tools to use and how to use them in order to help you excel as a service technician)

Controls Module. (Introduction to HVAC controls which includes t-stats, relays, contactors, valves, etc.)

Diagrams Module.  (Introduction to wiring diagrams, and how to use them to understand and troubleshoot equipment)

Technicians Module.  (Technician responsibilities, etiquette, and expectations throughout the service call)

Start-up Module.  (Initial Start-up steps for firing up new heating equipment)

Duct Design Module.  (Measuring duct for retrofit applications, duct sizing and layout for a new house)

Troubleshooting Module.  (Learn troubleshooting skills to help you through work through the problem)

Service Module.  (Furnace, water heater, and HRV inspections, service, maintenance and repair)

 

SATURDAY CLASSES AVAILABLE!

The first course we have available is an introduction to the world of servicing heating equipment as an HVAC Technician.  This is a ‘Day Class’ scheduled for Saturdays.  This class will teach you how to do basic ‘Start-ups’ on equipment and what a basic ‘Service Call’ looks like.  We will introduce you to some troubleshooting skills and take you through some troubleshooting scenarios.  This class incorporates some aspects of the Modules for the HVAC Technician, Start-up, Service, and Troubleshooting.
