The second Cooling Class is designed to give you more air conditioning troubleshooting skills by introducing you to T.E.S.P. and the 5 characteristics of air as found on the Psychometric Chart. The Total External Static Pressure of air in the duct plays a significant role in determining how much air is actually moving through the evaporator coil. So you will learn how to measure the Total Static Pressure and compare it to the data on the coil to know if you have the correct amount of air through the coil.
We will also look at the Economizer, how it works, why it exists, how it’s wired, and how to troubleshoot it.
