Modified Cooling Class

(This is a modified class. This class will address the same material as in the regular class but spread it out to 1.5 days so that the tech can get a better chance at learning and understanding A/C service. They will have an opportunity to ask more questions and practice what they are learning.)

In this course you will be introduced to the theory of the refrigeration cycle, how a split air conditioner works, and the tools you will need to test the system and measure function-ability. You will also be introduced to many tools for testing, installing, and refrigerant recovery.

You will be introduced to the 5 measurements of Air, and the 5 measurements of refrigeration. You will learn how to use analog gauges to measure Superheat and Subcooling. You will learn how to identify potential problems when they measure low suction pressure, high suction pressure, low head pressure, and more.

You will also learn all aspects of the electrical system. How to wire a system, troubleshoot electrical problems, how to read a wiring diagram, and more.

Completing this class will get you started on the right path to quality A/C service work.
